Cathryn enjoys working as a General Practitioner and sees it as a privilege to look after her patients’ medical needs. Her special interests with additional training include early pregnancy counselling, medical termination of pregnancy (MTOP), shared antenatal and postnatal care, menopause and family planning (insertion and removal of Implanons, Copper and hormonal IUDs). She is accredited for shared care with Royal Women’s Hospital.
Cathryn has worked as a Paediatric Registrar prior to General Practice and has completed a Diploma of Child Health. She enjoys caring for children and teenagers. She is a keen traveller herself and loves travel medicine and looking after people heading on their overseas holidays. She will endeavour to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to her patients’ medical needs within the scope of general practice including preventative care and chronic disease management.
Cathryn also currently tutors medical students at the University of Melbourne, teaching them the art of being a Doctor, such is taking medical histories and clinical examinations.
When not at work, she enjoys coffee and brunch around inner Melbourne, escaping overseas for a holiday, attending the Australian Ballet, and exploring the outdoors of Victoria.
