Dr Dustin Sprigg (He/Him)
General Practitioner | MBBS (Hons), FRACGP, DTMH (Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene), Cert FPAA (FPAA National Certificate in Sexual & Reproductive Health for Doctors)

Special interests:

LGBTQIA+ health, Sexual health, Skin cancer medicine, Tropical medicine, First Nations Health, Geriatrics.

 

Skills:

PrEP prescriber, Insertion/removal of intrauterine device (Mirena IUD), insertion/removal of contraceptive implant (Implanon), Dermoscopy & Skin biopsies/excisions.

Originally from the Wheatbelt of Western Australia, Dustin graduated from medicine at the University of Western Australia with honours in 2014. He completed his internship and residency in Perth, before taking 6 months off to complete a Diploma of Tropical Medicine in Liverpool (UK). Dustin subsequently moved to the Kimberley in Western Australia, where he completed his General Practice training.

 

He spent a year working in a private General Practice in Broome, before moving to the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services, where he worked in remote Aboriginal communities including Bidyadanga and Balgo. During his time in Broome, he also worked at the Renal Health Centre and Headspace

 

Dustin has a strong interest in Sexual health and he has completed his FPAA Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive health for doctors. He is certified to insert and remove intrauterine devices and contraceptive implants. He is also currently completing his professional certificate in Dermoscopy, and he can perform skin checks and removal of skin lesions.

 

Dustin has recently moved to Victoria to experience all Melbourne has to offer. When not seeing patients in clinic, he enjoys racket sports, camping and spending time on his family’s farm.
